I also swam BTA for 10 years. Finished out my swim career as a scholarship swimmer and conference finalist at the University of Houston. I have coached summer league for 16 years, the last four with Bear Branch. Spent ten years with Blue Tide Aquatics as a age group coach.

Hey Bears! I am Alex Dumais and I’m so excited to be one of your coaches this summer! I am on the women’s soccer team at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts and I am studying marketing. I graduated from Kingwood High School in 2020. Growing up I swam for 11 years for the MBW Marlins! Swim team was such a huge part of my life and I can’t wait to make the summer league experience even more fun than it was for me! I’m super excited to meet all of you! Go Bears!!
My name Owen Pickering and I’m very excited to be a part of Bear Branch Swim Team! I am a Freshman at Texas A&M University studying engineering. Over my seven years of swimming at Kingwood High, Blue Tide, and summer league, I have qualified for and scored at Ponderosa, TAGS, Sectionals, Zones, NCSA, Speedo Winter Juniors, and 6A State. This last summer, I worked as a swim instructor at the Lake Houston YMCA and loved it. I can’t be more excited to work for the best summer league team in Kingwood! Go Bears!
Hi everyone! I’m Julia Westwood and I am a graduating senior at Kingwood High School. I’m super excited to return to summer league, where my love of swimming first began. I started as a Greentree/Riverchase Gator and then swam for Blue Tide Aquatics for 10 years, where I competed at TAGS, Sectionals and Zones. More recently, I was a three-year member of the KHS Varsity Team, a two- time district champion, a regional finalist, and an alternate and relay member of the 2018 and 2019 State Teams. I retired my cap and goggles last summer but have kept my hair smelling of chlorine as an instructor at FINS, where I teach safe water skills to toddlers and younger swimmers. I plan to study marine and conservation biology at Boston University in the fall. For now, though, I get to study BEARS in the water, and I can’t wait to make memories with these swimmers and to help them get stronger and faster!
My name is Hollie Gille. I am a mom of 4 girls dubbed as the ”Gille girls” and 1 boy known as the "Gille Guy". I grew up here in kingwood swimming for the village otters and BTA. Swimming was a family thing growing up and I have very fond memories of it. As I got older I developed a love for basketball and pursued that and had the opportunity to play collegiately for 4 years. Upon graduating I got my teaching certificate in k-12 physical education. I love teaching kids and have continued that love while raising my family. Over the past 11 years I have assisted and head coached various swim teams (year round and summer league) and created small leagues of soccer and basketball for young kids. I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to meeting y’all!
